East and West District Police Stations

At the time of its completion, the East District Police Station was the first new police sation built in Winnipeg in over 40 years. Completed in 2008, the $11.8 million facility located in St. Boniface Industrial Park served to replace the existing Winnipeg Police stations in districts 4 and 5, consolidating their operations within a new , single-storey structure.

Following a similar program, Number TEN also designed the LEED® Silver certified West District Police Station, which opened in 2014.

Central to the design plans were the incorporation of an array of security and safety features to protect the safety of officers and the general public. The facilities contain protected, dedicated areas for police operations such as prisoner holding rooms, evidence processing labs, storage facilities and interview rooms. Operational on a 24/7 basis, the buildings also include a variety of offices, staff lunch area, and an attached garage.
